Knowing the Resurrection

It was St. Francis of Assisi who said, “All I want to know is Christ and the power flowing from His Resurrection!” He said this because he knew that everything in the world comes back to the resurrection of Christ. All events before it lead up to it, and all events after it flow out of it. Everything we do is dependent on it, and in it is found our only hope.

So, if you feel like you have gotten a bit bored with the resurrection because you "already know" that stuff, then this is the time to ask God for a special blessing. Ask Him to help you open your eyes to be able to see the resurrection in a new light. If St. Francis of Assisi, in the wonderfully holy life that he lived, could say that was all he wanted to know, how could we aim at anything less and consider it worthy of our time?
