Ways to Invite Demonic Oppression

I spoke in my homily this last Sunday about ways that many people (even Catholics) open the doors of their souls to demonic oppression without realizing it. Many people asked me for the entire list, but I have been unable to locate that original list from which I was working. Here is my copy of what was in that list.

1) Refusing to forgive anyone

2) Willing and repeated exposure to pornography (even so-called "soft porn")

3) Regular participation in non-catholic religious services (including protestant)

4) Reading distinctly anti-catholic books (especially including non-catholic translations of the Bible)

5) Listening to pagan music (of any style)

6) Gluttonous use of food or alcohol

7) Enjoying movies or books where there is no justice (i.e. the bad guys win)

8) Repeatedly saying curses (like using the Lord's name in vain)

9) Indulging in prideful and self-focused daydreams

10) Willingly breaking a covenant or vow (like promises or work contracts, but especially marital vows)

11) Involvement in any spiritist activity (psychics, mediums, astrology, ouija boards, tarot cards, etc.)

12) Sexual perversions (sodomy, incest, rape, pre-marital sex, masturbation, etc.)

13) Allowing yourself to become addicted to anything

14) Obsessive and compulsive use of technology (cell phones, video games, youtube, etc.)

15) Enjoying the pain or misery of others (violent or sadistic jokes, etc.)

16) Indulgence in entertainment to the neglect of one's duties

17) Extreme laziness or idleness
