The Machines are Taking Over

Someone showed me a video of a car commercial recently. It was focusing on the safety features of the car brand. The video showed a woman driving very distractedly, and just before she hit and killed a pedestrian the safety features of the car made her stop. In other words "trust our cars and you will be safe". Actually, there is another message that I hope they did not intend. It also said, "go ahead and be distracted and we'll take care of things". Yeah, no.

We are being slowly but steadily lulled into a sense of passivity. The devices and machines that we are being sold are making us get more and more lax while we are supposed to trust them to take care of us. I remember the (wonderful) old movie "Wall-E" about humanity becoming a bunch of lazy slobs who do nothing for themselves. Are we in the first stages of becoming like them? I think so, and it is all in the name of "safety". Do not buy into it (pun not intended). Think for yourself, work for yourself; only give God and His revelation to His Church one hundred percent of your trust!
