Please Don't Misunderstand

I am about to tell people not to come to St. George. Yes, you read that right. I am saying it at the beginning so everyone can brace themselves beforehand. Here goes:

If you are empty and realize that your life is going nowhere, then you need to find meaning and that can only be found in the One Who created you; Jesus Christ. If you are finally getting tired of sin and see that it does not truly satisfy, then you need to find purity and that can only be found in the One Who is your Lord; Jesus Christ. If you are confused and recognize that the world's answers are all lies, then you need the truth of the Savior of mankind; Jesus Christ.

If any of these are true of you, then you can find His fulness in the Catholic Church; of which St. George is one parish that will give you the whole truth, consistent, clear and not watered down.

If, however, you want just to be entertained, and are unwilling to give up your selfish desires, do not come to St. George. If you are looking for a contemporary worship service resembling a protestant "seeker sensitive" event, do not come to St. George. If you want glitz and pop music, do not come to St. George. If you want us to beg and bribe you to join, do not come to St. George. If you want a view of the Church that ignores everything before 1960, do not come to St. George. If you are wanting casual and irreverent, do not come to St. George. If you want to be told only what makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside without having your faith challenged, do not come to St. George.

On the other hand, if you want the historic Church, the ancient faith once delivered to the Saints, glorious reverence, the uncompromised truth of our fathers, and the faith the Apostles died for, then come to St. George.
