Order

Writer: Fr. SeraiahFr. Seraiah

Just as St. Thomas Aquinas was able to read Aristotle and see God's truth in places, so also can we find truth in other places in the world. Yes, all truth is God's truth, but occasionally there are pagans who will learn something that is genuinely true. Of course, we need to proceed with caution when we swim the waters of the world, but take a look at this beautiful quote from a pagan. It is wonderfully fitting to read this here at the beginning of Lent:

To put the world in order, we must first put the nation in order;

to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order;

to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life;

to cultivate our personal life, we must set our hearts right.
