On Target?

When people practice shooting guns, they often use a target. It makes it easier to learn how to aim. If you are standing near to the target when they are practicing you might get hit; we all know this. Staying away from the target means you will not likely get hit; which is what you want when we are dealing with guns. Holiness is another matter.

Jesus warned us that faithfulness will always be attacked (e.g. John 16:1-4). The world and the devil hate faithfulness and they will always go after it in any way that they can. In the present day and age, the attacks are getting more severe, so those who are living faithfully should expect that the devil and the world are going to be "shooting their guns" at them.

Thus, with the current increase of hatred for the Catholic faith, if you are not getting flack and negativity in some way, then you have to ask yourself, "why not?" As one priest said recently: "if the world isn't shooting at you, that means your faith is not on target".
