New Information on Tattoos

I know that this one is a significant challenge. I did not determine this, I merely hand on the information that I have received (so please do not kill the messenger). As many of you know, I like to read things from exorcists. Their stories of demonic activity are very helpful to know what is going on out there, and they can give us guidance on what to stay away from in our lives. If an exorcist describes demonic activity we should listen; especially if it applies to something in which we have partaken.

In the Old Testament, the Hebrews were absolutely forbidden to have tattoos, and the Catholic Church, until fairly recently, forbade it as well. This new information is fairly recent, but I have now read two different exorcists who have said the same thing. They are finding that demons are attaching themselves to tattoos and by doing so are bringing spiritual harm. No, we are not talking only about tattoos of evil and perverse things, but of things that people think are "good" tattoos. It is apparently easier for them to attach to "good" images because the nature of tattoos is not neutral.

A demon apparently admitted to Fr. Chad Ripperger (an exorcist) that they like to attach themselves to tattoos of rosaries, crucifixes, and Saints because those who get them think of them as "good tattoos" so they let their guard down. The demons, however, know (according to Fr. Ripperger) that marking the skin with tattoos is always wrong, and so they can attach themselves without the person ever even knowing it. No, they do not possess the person, but they certainly can cause spiritual harm to the person in numerous ways.

This is not to be taken lightly. Anyone considering getting a tattoo (of anything at all) should reconsider whether that is a good idea (regardless of whether the Church has a prohibition against it or not). Everyone with a tattoo should consider what this means for their spiritual well being. I do not know the means to remove a tattoo, but I understand it to be very painful and unpleasant. The question you have to ask is: is it worth it not to do something about it?
