Hidden Demons

An exorcist recently remarked how well trained demons are. Sounds weird, does it not? He was talking about the fact that demonic activity has risen to massive proportions today, even among Catholics, because people are largely unaware of how they let the demons into their lives. The demons do not want to be caught and lose their hold on people, so they have found ways to hide better than they used to do. He said their most sneaky way to hide is to disguise their influence as mental illness and thus the only remedy that the victims seek out is a medicine from a doctor. He predicted that as many as 75% of people on various mental drugs are actually oppressed by demons and have no idea that is what is going on in their lives.

That is brilliant. Maliciously brilliant, but brilliant all the same. Yes, there are people who believe every hiccup is a demon, but there are far more people who deny the activity, or even the existence, of demons. They are the most vulnerable to their attacks. I do not want you to live your life in fear of everything, because Christ is more powerful than any demon. Yet, I also do not want you to think that your sinful behavior is just "how you are" and that you need to accept it. Remember the St. Michael prayer: "...cast into Hell, Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world, seeking the ruin of souls". That is your soul they are seeking to ruin. Guard yourself from their attacks.
