There is much discussion today about immigration, and many of you have probably heard the American Bishops speaking about "defending the poor" and helping "migrants". Sadly, much of what is said is unhelpful because it does not accord with, or submit to, Catholic teaching. Bishop Strickland has written a powerful letter to the faithful about this subject, and I could not say any of it better than he did. It is accurate, abides by Catholic teaching, and brings into account all that is involved (even the yucky stuff). I strongly urge you to read his entire letter here.
