Anyone Else?

"Conservatives Outraged as FDA OKs Generic Abortion Drug". That was the headline on an article on a "conservative" news media outlet the other day. I wondered first, "is there anyone else who is outraged?" And, does describing it as "conservatives outraged" instead of something more accurate like "people who care about life" or even more specifically as "anyone with a conscience" make it a somewhat biased title?

I am sure that more than just Christians are outraged, so they did not limit the description. There are very likely a number of different faiths who are upset that our nation has so many government officials (still today!) who accept the practice of murdering children. Yet, when I see something like that, I consider the entire scope of the subject.

It is a good idea for me not to be a news reporter; I would get into far too much trouble. Feeling the obligation to tell the "whole truth and nothing but the truth" I would have written something like: "Every Living Being in Heaven Outraged at the Approval of Abortion". I might have even been tempted to say, "Hell Rejoices at New Abortion Drug". I suppose I would have settled for: "God Outraged as Anyone in Creation OKs Abortion in any Form".

Yes, it is a good thing I am just a priest.
