Answered Prayers

I received an email the other day from someone whom I had encouraged to convert and become Catholic many years ago. He, at the time, was a member of a Protestant denomination that I once served as a pastor in. His first contact was to ask why I became Catholic, and we had an extended email exchange. The other day he contacted me to let me know that he was received into the Church this Easter and is now a joyful member of Christ's One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. The extra joyful thing is that I had been praying off and on for him to convert all these years.

What a joy to see God work on someone's heart, even if it is not at the speed that we want. He is still the One Who finds the sheep and brings them into His fold. Yet, when we are praying about it, and then see it come to fruition, it is extra joyful. Praise God that He shows His grace and His wisdom; He knows exactly how much each of us needs, as well as when we need it.
