All Saints

I truly rejoice at the fact that we do not know all the Saints in Heaven. They are not standing in the full presence of Jesus merely for the sake of fame. We do not need to know who they are for them to be Saints. Yes, we are in communion with them, and it is easier to be in communion with someone you actually know, but that is not the only way for this to be so.
Consider this: there are Catholics who are living faithfully, and are in the grace of God right now, in other countries of this world. We do not know their names, nor will we ever meet them in this life. That does not make them insignificant, nor does it mean that we are not in communion with them; we are not in personal communion with them, we are in spiritual communion with them, united by the Holy Spirit Himself. The fact that they are in the Barque of Peter says that we are together; one, big, happy, Catholic family.
In the same way, there are numerous Saints who have moved from their time of purging and are now experiencing the beatific vision. We do not know their names, but they are still doing the work of God. They are praying for us (even without being asked to do so!). They are praising God with the angels constantly. They are displaying the glory of God to everyone in Heaven (and there are a lot of beings in Heaven). This is whom we are to remember and give thanks for on All Saints Day.
